FIND OTHER UUs AT FRESNO ON SATURDAY, MAY 30TH - Meet in the Middle 4 Equality

Meet in the Middle4Equality is a large Statewide gathering for Californians to show their feelings about the decision of the California Supreme Court. It will begin with a 12 mile march from Selma, Ca to Fresno culminating in speeches and rallys and many events. There is more information here: http://www.meetinthemiddle4equality.com/

Faith leaders are invited to march from Selma to Fresno in honor of the great rights movements of the past. Rev. Troy Perry will be speaking at the beginning of the march on behalf of CA Faith for Equality. To march, please meet at the Q Street lot, behind Fresno City Hall, at 6:30am for individual, organizational and media check-in for transportation services to the Selma to Fresno March starting point - please, RSVP for the march in advance, in the notes section of the RSVP, so we know to anticipate your arrival.

California Faith for Equality (CAFFE) is sponsoring a "Faith Tent" at the Rally. They are making a broad invitation for faith communities to bring literature for the tent. Church brochures, event flyers, general info and action Items - everything welcome. Help show the media that FAITH can mean standing on the side of marriage equality. Be a visible Unitarian Universalist on this day of all days. To find the Tent look for the blue and orange logo for CAFFE.

From Sacramento: A bus and caravan will be leaving the Sacramento Gay and Lesbian Center at 7:30 a.m. for a group trek to the Fresno City Hall building. Media is invited to interview participants and send a crew on the bus if interested. MEETUP AND HOUSING

Some UU churches are sending busloads and carpools of participants. The Central Library in Fresno (2420 Mariposa Street) has been designated as a UU meet-up site. People should gather at 12 PM noon and at 1 PM. Wear your UULM or congregation's T-Shirt, or print THIS out on a sticker or T-Shirt Iron-on and connect with other UUs.

MEET IN THE MIDDLE FOOD DRIVE

Please show Meet In The Middle that we are up to the task of helping Fresno's less fortunate. Please bring all of your canned food, rice, beans, and water to the Yes We Can tent at MITM4E. Thanks for your support.
